Inauguration of photographic exhibition for the XX Pontedecimo Giovi historical reenactment

On the occasion of the 20th edition of the historical re-enactment of the Pontedecimo-Giovi, competition for vintage cars built before 1968, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September in Genoa, Marina Genova, in collaboration with the Veteran Car Club Ligure, organizes at the Art Gallery in Porto a photographic exhibition dedicated to the history of the event.

Through 24 shots in black and white and the exhibition of a Lancia Aurelia B20 2nd series of 1954, visitors can relive the atmosphere of the famous car race and Italian costume from the 1920s onwards.

The exhibition opens Saturday, September 22 at 12:30 at the Galleria Arte in Porto with free admission.
It will then be open until Friday 2 November, from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm (other times by reservation).

Also on Saturday 22 September, at 11 am, Marina Genova will host the checks of the historic cars in the race, which in the afternoon will move towards the city center and will be exhibited at the Porto Antico in Genoa, where they will also perform a precision performance test. Sunday, September 23, after further tests of precision in the area of ​​Marina Genova, the cars will head towards Pontedecimo to face the legendary climb to the Passo dei Giovi.

Even through participation in the historical re-enactment of the Pontedecimo-Giovi, Marina Genova is confirmed as a meeting place alive and welcoming, with events and quality proposals that enrich the city’s artistic and cultural program.
