Opened by Maurizio Parodi in 1932, the poultry shop has been run by his family for three generations. It still has its original windows, marble chip flooring and plaster ceilings. In fact, everything in the store is original: the counter with its relief carvings, the marble shelves on the walls, the wrought iron light fixtures, and the brick and timber hood. Antique utensils include an old scale and a rare device for holding eggs up to the light to check their freshness.
